TR6 TR6 Boot Cover Question

There is a full length pocket at the rear of my 75 TR6 boot cover. It has snaps that don't appear to go anywhere or do anything. My other TR6 boot cover was not like this at all. What am I missing here?

Did TR6s have a different boot cover used when the hardtop was fitted AND the softtop folded? Sorry, I'm just guessing, although I know the later Spitfires had the two different boot covers.

Andrew is correct about the cover with a hardtop car. I'm not sure about the details, but they did have some sort of pocket in them.

TR6s with factory hardtops did also come with a different boot cover that included a pocket.

darn! So there was a hardtop somewhere, sometime. That explains why My soft top is original and in great shape.
