Hi guys - doing some fun reading and came across this on TR6 under improvements - "Talking of one-off outlays, Revington TR markets a special throttle linkage which adds real power to your right foot. The problem is wear and slop in the original design says the Somerset specialist meaning some cars only work on less than half throttle! "

Anyone familiar with this issue / fix?

Hi Mike, wasn't aware that Ratco offer that. They mention the same wide open issue so maybe there is something to it.

How to best check you are getting full travel?

There is a throttle stop on the carb's 'throttle stop lever'
Put a weight on your accelerator pedal so it's floored and see of the throttle stop lever contacts the WOT stop.
If it doesn't adjust the linkage as per instructions in both Bentley and Haynes.
If you have those to spec and still do not get WOT, then you need to reposition the accelerator shaft "control lever" Moss 676-035.
In this series of photographs you can see the throttle stop with a yellow background.
IDLE POSITION

HALF THROTTLE (shows up good)

FULL THROTTLE (within a hair of WOT, my grip loosened)

Notice the throttle stop just about touching the cast WOT stop projection and the actual throttle disc almost perpendicular to the throat of the carb.. If my grip had not loosened as I snapped the picture it would have been at WOT
