Looking to install an alarm system, so I can comfortably go more places and feel secure upon landing. Viper seems to be the top rated one. Does anybody have suggestions for me?

Why would you need an alarm.
You should never lock it.
Just install a hidden master switch

Flat bed tow ain't gonna be concerned with an alarm

Don, Here is how it works; The alarm goes off, it notifies your mobile telephone and you have a fighting chance of saving your car. I am installing an alarm, anybody else have one and can give me advise?

Mad dog, no sweat,
If you want an alarm .Go for it.
Can't think of anyone here with one.
Though someone might have one on their other cars

Do people still use car alarms? The Club steering wheel lock and a cutoff switch for the ignition/fuel pump....

Oh yes, I still hear them going off all the time.

And no one pays any attention.

One thing that might be a consideration : Alarm systems suck power from the battery. If you don't drive the car for several weeks at a time, the battery may be too flat to start the engine unless you have some way to charge the battery while it's parked.

Well, that would do it, but might be a bit over overkill. (no pun intended)

I prefer my 629 (stainless steel 44mag) with 300 grains and brass slugs.

So I guess you never get out of your car?
