TR6 TR6 accelerator vibration

Does everyone's TR6 accelerator pedal vibrate like crazy around 55 mph, or just mine? It seems to be smooth up to that point, and it can smooth out past 60, but man oh man...it gives my foot quite the massage in the interim. Thoughts?

Sorry BC, don't have that experience on Mine. Might be great for longer drives though to get the blood flowing :0)

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

I can't imagine that the pedal is vibrating... it may be transmitting the vibration. I'd look at other areas before I would think it was the pedal. Drive shaft out of balance? Tires?

That's weird. Doesn't happen on mine.

Check the motor mounts maybe as well. They may be just getting loose or getting old.

And check the bushings on both ends of the horizonal part of the shaft as it passes thru the body sheet metal.

Thought of one other items. When you get the pedal down to that point could it be touching something along the way. Maybe up by the carbs or maybe a bolt or something on the engine or tranny.

Have someone push on the peddle and look to see if it touches something at some point.
