My window plastic vapor barriers are all tangled up in my window regulators making the windows hard to operate and I would like to know if anyone has ever left the barriers out or moved them outside the door frame behind the door panels. Thanks

Leaving them out will likely let water into the car, or at a minimum allow the door panels to get wet/damp. Putting them on the outside of the door seems to be pretty common actually, I'm planning on doing that soon on the '74 TR6 soon.
