TR4/4A Tr4A, unidentified wire in steering wheel area

Perhaps someone can identify the purpose of one wire heading into the steering area.
There are two small bundles of wire under the dashboard. I am interested in the blue and white tracer wire in the five wire bundle. It is now plugged in the same connector as the larger blue wire going to the dimmer switch. Bl with Bl/Wh tracer...can not be right!

It may be my error from when I restored the car years ago, but it does not seem to affect anything so far when disconnected.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Andrew,
Thank, you are correct, it is the pull to flash. I have this car since 1976 and never knew that feature was available or even existed in older cars. What is more shocking is the electrical schematic not showing this function, somehow.
Now I am really curious how this feature is connected because the pull-flash works only with ignition switch on, not so the runnning headlights.

Will I have more surprises? I am adding a relay so headlights can be turned on only with the ignition switch on. Any more words of wisdom?

The workshop manual schematic was never updated for the 4A. Check out the schematic at https://www.advanceautowire.com/tr24a.pdf
(scroll to the bottom for TR4A) which matches the one given in the owner's manual.
