Any ideas on how to repair the rusted T nuts, that hold the plastic lens,on a TR4A turn signal housing that mounts in the grill? Thanks

If I'm thinking of the parts you are talking about, I thought those were brass? You might be stuck just buying complete signal lamp assemblies if you can't get the individual nuts. Haven't looked for those, but if they are not available, I think with some patience you could find used parts that could donate those nuts.

would a Rivnut work?

Here's how I did this. I used a small brass computer stand-off. Threads are probably 6-32. The original lens screw fits well enough to hold the lens. In the end, I bought two new replacement lens housings as they were inexpensive.

Heres my solution. Found an old set of Land Rover lights and the nuts on the housing are removable and appear to be made of brass. No corrosion and still look new! The Lucas housing is the same as the Triumph but is configured a different way as far as the way it mounts to the vehicle.
