Tweaking my TR4A for fall shows and am trying to find a correct water bottle for the windshield fluid. Besides e-bay where else could I look? I assume I can only get NOS.

Any help appreciated.

If you want it to look like it was original to the car Ebay is probably it
Now if you want a new one that will stick out like a sore thumb...

Or ,leave the TR in the garage and take the "A"

I would say no way to finding NOS. The Trafalger bottle is the rarest from what I've seen throughout the years. If you're diligent in your search, you might find a relatively clean but stained bottle. I've looked for years and all I've seen have been very tired looking or decent demanding relatively big $$. That said, I've got a couple and am sure others may be hording too. I have one good one for my 4A (not for sale, sorry), as well as a one discolored and a couple of split bottles. Maybe Marv will chime in with a PM as he seems to have a good parts bin. Also try VTR.org classified section.

When I bought my 1958 TR3A brand new 55 years ago, I paid the S-T dealer $15.00 extra to install the optional windscreen washer bottle. It had (and still has) the name Trafalgar moulded onto the outside of the polyethylene bottle. The knob on the dash also reads Trafalgar. Because the bottle was turning a bit yellow with age, I bought a similar bottle from one of the big TR parts suppliers since they are also used for the overflow bottle for the rad of a TR4. At TRA, I was docked a part of a point because, while the bottle was shiny, clean and new, it didn't have the name Trafalgar moulded on the outside. Since then I put back the original yellowish one and all is well. If you're not into originality for the concours judges, use the overflow bottle. The lids are also available separately. Or you could buy a Tudor washer bottle and knob and them you would have a fully matched set - providing that the Tudor washer was also a TR4 item.

The bottle I have is the Tudor and I was told that it should be the Trafalger brand for my TR4A. I would ( I think) like to tweak a few more items back to NOS or correct repro's but maybe I am just being crazy. The car is pretty nice and the points deducted for the non original items (based on previous score sheets) should not be too terrible. My main goal is still to enjoy driving it but I'd like to look respectable on the field.

I'm at the beach for another week but when I get home I'll look to see if I have a Trafaiger bottle. I bought two TR4a's this spring with a bunch ( 4 o/d trans) of extra parts so let me know what else you need, I just might have it.

When I ordered my 1958 TR3A I had the local S-T dealer install the windscreen washer extra option. There were two that the factory supplied back in 1958, one was the Tudor and the other was the Trafalgar. If this was still a dealer added option at the time your TR4 was first sold, it might have come from the factory (or a dealer installed option) with either a Tudor or a Trafalgar system.

Does anyone here know if a TR4A made in Oct 1966 and titled in Feb 1967 would have had the Tudor or the Trafalgar bottle installed?

Marv...I will send you a wish list!

My March 1966 built TR4A has the Trafalgar bottle.
