TR6 TR4A sway bar same as TR6? Use same bushings?

I found a good site to help with some of these questions. If you go to Rimmers Brothers site and add what you want into the shopping basket you will find if you go back to the basket and click on the item for more details it will also show all the other cars that part fits.

Answer for the front is no unless you use the TR6 radiator shield which fits the TR4A-TR6. This provides the factory mount for the TR6 bar and can also be used for Addco aftermarket bars, possibly others.

On the rear, all IRS TRs use the same Addco bar. But live axle TR4As use a different setup with the bar mounting forward of the axle.

TRF has a trick adjustable sway bar setup on sale right now.

Specifically #2 here for the front bar, right Peter?

Yes, #2. I bought one (from a TR6) for my 4A from ebay for $15. It also has an extended lip with holes for an oil cooler mounting.

Great - thanks Peter.

Hey Peter, how are your various projects coming along? Sorry for not asking before now.

I also put a TR6 sway bar on my TR4A when I redid it. Got the sway bar and radiator shield from the local foreign car wrecking yard (back when they let you go into the yard and take the parts off yourself and prices were cheap).

My front bar is 7/8" Addco, rear is 5/8" Addco. Mine is a solid axle. But the 4A has never seen the road so I can't say how it handles yet.

The Addco on the 3A has really reduced the roll into corners.

Great pictures - just what I was looking for. Thank you.

That is a nice looking frame and suspension area Peter - where are you in the build? (looked like the front valance was off but might have just been the pictures).

Chassis is completely done and wrapped in plastic to keep it clean. I dropped the body on just to move it out of the way for now. I stripped it but now need to get after the bodywork. The valance is up in the loft with the doors and trunk lid.
