TR4/4A TR4a Speedo.....KPH!

Just when I thought I was making progress with Swiss auto regulations..... I got the emissions under control, switched the dog eared knockoffs for octagonal ones, found acceptable license plate holders but I'm stuck on one. I cannot find a KPH speedo.
If anybody has or knows of one ..... Even the kph dial face would be ok... Then I could rebuild current one.
Moss and Rimmer Bro's both list them as in stock and ready to ship but a quick call proves otherwise. Not enough demand to stock them... Rather frustrating.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Many thanks.

Brett,

Did you check the Limora link? They list them for 162 Euro exchange.

Scott

Revington also lists a KPH one for 151 GBP excluding VAT. PN 209189.

Swapping the face on your MPH speedo for a face with KPH would work, so long as they were otherwise equivalent (same original rear axle ratio and tires -- there's a mess of different speedos listed in the Spare Parts Catalogue). However, note that a "true" KPH speedometer also has the odometers that register in kilometers rather than miles.

Brett-

Sent you a private message on another possible lead.

you only need it to pass inspection, Right, then swap it back for MPH

whats it really matter? freakin government regs ruin most everything we do
and besides the MPH has KPH on the dial right!

No they only have the MPH scale.

Scott

well I dont know what spedo you have but there is a raised circle right around the odometer digits and in that circle has KPH scale

Hondo,

That's not the case for TR3 and TR4/4A speedometers. Here's a picture Paul posted a while back of some TR4/4A spares he has.

Years ago, Canada had stick-on deals for your speedo (I think it was 1984 when I was told about it).Seems you could print out on label paper, cut them out, stick them on the glass and be good to go.

OMG Dave. I can't even fit that on my address bar

Sorry....

Dave, if that was what you were pointing to ,...nice pull (Ocean's11 reference)

Yes that's them.

I need to figure out how to do that little link thingy.....

Cheers,
Tush

I think I would kill, or at least seriously maim, for those chrome trim rings. Scott, those are beautiful!

Kevin,

Those are Paul's (Brosky). You might see if he wants to sell them if he still has them.

They do look nice.
