TR4/4A TR4A Seat and Carpet Questions

Hi all,

Been sorting out mechanical issues, haven't had much time to deal with interior issues. But on to it!!!

The seat tracks in my TR4A are bunching up the front carpets when I move them back and forth. It's RATHER annoying. Does anyone have any ideas to sort this issue out?

I tried looking on MOSS's site to see if these cars came with wooden strips under the seats (Like the MG's did), but it doesn't seem that they did.

All ideas welcome!!

Right, so I have to figure out some way to raise the seat a small amount. Any ideas?

Wooden strips would raise the seat tracks.

I had the same problem in my TR3B. I solved it by useing 1/4 in. thick strips of rubber under the track. Just raised up enough to eliminate the problem.

You can use two small washers under each bolt. They had a solid washer of about a 1/4 inch at first and later ones had a hard plastic strip on the Spitfires and GT6's. I got a couple of those around somewhere.
