TR4/4A tr4a rubber trunk seal

I believe it would be high side inwards.

As I recall, some replacements vary a bit from original.

What I have (and I think very close to original):

I did have a hard time getting the seal along the lower lip to stay put -- wanted to roll off because of the way the boot lid closes against it. Finally used Gorilla Glue and that has held (hopefully I'll never have to remove it).

Really? I got one (TR4 seal) from VB, it was too thick and the trunk lid sits proud, so I got the one from TRF, they said it wouldn't cause the problem, but no difference, is the TR6 seal thinner?

Were those seals like the second pic (which to me looks like it is a bit higher)?
 
Hard to tell, can't see the cross section that well to see the subtle differences when its on the car.
