For Sale TR4A Project

Hi,

It's been a long time since I've been on this list - what with life getting in the way and all. Y'all might remember I was in the process of rebuilding a TR4A. I gathered all the parts (including TR6 engine), but just could never get the time to put it all together, and I think maybe it's time I pass it along to someone else - any interest?

Details:
1965 TR4A, BRG, Type A overdrive. Originally purchased by Crawford Morton (of Morton Salt) and delivered in England. Was taken to SAH (predecessor to TriumphTune) and modified and rallied through Europe through 1965/1966 before being brought home(story told by nephew).Has original engine (in pieces), plus late TR6 engine, complete minus distributer. Currently mounting 17" Mustang Bullitt wheels, Has Early Miata seats, aero roll bar. The original frame has some rust issues up front, but have a TR6 frame to replace it with. All parts and pieces are here, just never could get the time to get it all back together.

And asking price? PJ

Thank you everyone who has responded - I had planned on getting photos this past weekend, but was rained out. I will get and post photos as soon as I can, please bear with me.

meanwhile, here's the concept art I came up with for the build chance.jpg

The quick answer is Yes, the car is still available.

After a long conversation with swmbo and an extensive search of the market, my asking price is now $4000. I have seen multiple examples in far worse condition selling for even more than that, so I believe my price is more than fair for what you would be getting.

Just a bump to say this car is still for sale, $4000 - pictures available on request

Another bump on this thread, the car is still available

That would be like saying "Maybe you might should not have tried breathing" :highly_amused:

Seriously, I realize it's not the best time of year to sell a ragtop, but I have had several in-depth conversations with a few people, no one has pulled the trigger yet. Based on what I have seen being offered online - I still feel like I am offering a very solid deal for what you would get.
