TR4/4A TR4A Painting Question

We're removing all the bolt on chrome and misc parts on our TR4A to get it ready for the paint shop and would like to know if we should remove the capping strip on top of the windshield frame. Looks like this involves drilling out all the rivets. Thanks

If it were mine I would. Be careful drilling out the rivets and just re-rivet it after the paint job. Are you removing the windshield frame for painting?

Cheers,
Rob

Yes,the windshield frame is coming off and the glass will be removed. We just didnt want to mess up the original capping strip and wondered if there was a problem leaving it on but if its not removed it may leave an uneven paint edge against the capping right?
