I'm pretty sure they should have the tab as well although it's been way too many years since I actually worked with mine.

If it helps any, the Lucas part number was 54520073, and it was shared with the Spitfire through Mk3 and the GT6 through the Mk2/+ model.

No tab or broken tab is a common thing with the 4-4A and 6, what looks best if you are not a 100 point show car, drill a 1/8 inch hole where needed and pop rivet a l shaped tab where the split holder is and use a stainless steel upholstery screw. Unless you look real hard, no one will know and it will be easier than other way.
