TR4/4A TR4A Grille...how to straighten?

I have a 4A grill that has bent horizontal slats one one side that I need to straighten out. Are these grills stainless steel or aluminum? The horizontal slats that are bowed are broken away at the round headlight opening so it may be possible to press the bent slats back into their original shape with the use of a bench vise and angle iron used to compress them. Wonder if this Is doable or if heat would have to be applied to make the metal malleable? Any thoughts?
 
I reworked an original aluminum TR3A grille with just some cushioned pliers and my bare hands. No heat was needed to prod & bend it into submission (though strong thumbs and a bottle of Ibuprofen were needed).
 
What would heat do to the anodized finish?

Aluminum melts away at around 1400F so be really careful with a torch. I expect that anodizing wouldn't last with heat but that's just a WAG.
