TR4/4A TR4A Gearbox Number Mystery

My TR4A is number CT 62xxx with body and engine numbers in the same ballpark. The gearbox, however, is CD 10xxx. Shouldn't the gearbox have a CT number? What non-TR model did it come from? I can't find anything about Triumphs with CD numbers. And finally, how does it differ from a TR4A gearbox?

Thanks,
-Tom

CD would be TR5/250/early 6. Some minor changes, but basically identical to the 4A box.

Thanks Randall. I didn't think it could be too exotic if somebody fit it in there, but one never knows, do one?
