TR4/4A TR4A Door Vapor Barrier

The original plastic vapor barriers in our doors keep getting tangled up in our window regulators and we're thinking about removing them and just cutting a piece of plastic and gluing it too the doors before we install our door panels. Good idea or not??

ISTR I used black weatherstrip adhesive last time; but I've also used exterior grade household "adhesive caulk". Both seemed to work fine.

Might be best to lead the bottom edge of the plastic inside the door and then glue between it and the door. That way there won't be a little pocket there to collect water and mold.
