TR4/4A TR4A cracked cylinder head

I am having trouble locating a rebuildable cylinder head for my 67 TR4a, so I am considering repair. The crack is in the perpendicular to the crankshaft and in the middle of the head between #2 and #3 cylinders.

Are there any resources out there for repair, or any suggestions for a rebuildable used one?

If this is in the web between the two water jacket holes, then I'd suggest just leaving it alone. They frequently crack there, but with water jacket on both sides of the web, there is no place for anything to leak.
 
Randal is on this, if its just the little web between the center jackets forget it and worry about something serious.

But if it happens to be elsewhere, the people I've used are Metalock who use a metal stitching process. Last TR head I had repaired was cracked in 8 places and it gave no further trouble for the remainder of the time I had that car.

I think it's a USA developed technology licenced for use here, so you should be able to track them down OK.

Thanks for your comments and the welcome. You've given me a few good leads to follow up on Monday. I'll also take a closer look at what I got and think about where the spider crack may be going... leaving well alone sounds like an enticing possibility!
 
I was surprised to find stitching in my TR4 head when I had it off for hardened seats. It did not say 'Home Sweet Home':

The trusted machinist who was doing the current work pronounced it a old & very sound repair and said not to worry (and I don't for the 4 years since).
 
I had my TR6 head repaired the same way by a local machine shop last year. It was more cost effective than buying a replacement head and has corrected the lost compression issue. Buying a used head sight unseen may bring you new challenges.
