HELP! I HAVE A 1968 TR4A LAST REG. IN NEW YORK 1998. I CAN NOT FIND A LOCATION FOR THE COMMISSION NUMBER. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE EMAIL A PHOTO OF THE LOCATION. I'M TRYING TO REG. AND DO NOT HAVE THE OLD REG. THE STATE PURGES THEIR RECORDS AFTER 7 YEARS, THE ONLY WAY I CAN REG. The number would have been located on an (aluminum?) plate about 1.5" x 4". It located on the platform just below the master cylinders. Often the black painted text on the plate is gone but the commission number is stamped and will still appear.

What you are looking for will begin with the letters "CTC" followed by a 5-digit number beginning with 5, 6 or 7.

If it is missing you can still get it but it will take time. You can order a build certificate by body number or engine number (assuming you have the original engine) and it will show the commission number.
