TR4/4A TR4A Calipers

Rebuilding calipers on a TR4A (barn find) that sat for 18 yrs.
Finally got all the gunk cleaned from inside the bores and the outside housing on the left caliper.
Tried blowing compressed air thru the bleeder fitting and the line connection prior to re-assembly and found blockage.
Any suggestions on clearing the internal pasages ?
Read that I shouldn't seperate the halves.
Thanks

SBOOTH, you can seperate the halves but you will need a new "O" ring. Be careful when cleaning this surface, no overkill. I have a torque setting of 35.5 to 37 foot pounds. Make sure all faces are clean and that the threaded bolt holes are thoroughly dry.

Urban myth. I work for a caliper rebuilder and we seperate the halves all the time. Like Wayne said, new "O"-rings (sometimes they have a square section, which I think the TR calipers have) and being careful not to ding up the mating surfaces will assure that you won't have any problems.
