TR4/4A TR4A automatic transmission conversion

Does anyone know of a conversion for a TR4A to an automatic transmission. An old injury now prevents me using the clutch (too stiff) in a my beautifully restored 67 TR4A. I've restored 6 of them over the years and this 67 is my best; BRG/Black, blacktop, SUs and overdrive. But at 81 the injury to my left heel and ankle now sees the car sitting. I restored the car 10 years ago, then re-restored it during Covid, but put it into storage again as I couldn't drive it. Just spent big $$$ with XK-motor- sport to bring out of it's sleep. Still can't drive it. So it's a conversion or sell it. I've own a TR4A since 1968. Weird question, I know. Regards.

I asked this many, many years ago. Randall was the only respondent, and he suggested looking for an old Herald automatic. I never had any luck finding one, and it is still a question if the tunnel would have to be modified to fit it.

Triumph 2500 sedan auto trans should fit...a Borg Warner 35 version, I think.
I have mated a sedan manual box to my TR4, so it will bolt up correctly.
Sedans are very scarce in the USA though.

Hello all, new member. Did search and no posts. I have been looking for Stag with auto but do not want to deal with engine and other issues. First choice was TR6 but I'm getting older and knee issues. Has anyone placed an autotrans in TR6? Thanks

Isn't the Stag trans similar to the TR6? Maybe a Stag automatic trans would bolt to the appropriate rear plate.
