TR4/4A Tr4a, any tips about this sway bar

I would appreciate your wisdom with swaybars.

I just installed an Addco swaybar, and it occurred to me that ideally the relationship between bar and link assembly should be 90 degrees so as to extend life of the rubber bushings....Addco instructions do not say anything.

In another post, from PeterK's swaybar picture, it looks like his Tr4a Addco bar is not perpendicular to the link , but maybe 110 degrees. It seems that if less or more than 90 degrees , the bar would compress the bushings beyond what is ideal, shortening their lives. Does anyone know what should be the relationship between bar and link, or are they installed as one can with the asymetrical nature of each car ?

Is my intuition missing something? Or is this issue even significant?

IMO it doesn't make enough difference to worry about. Some, no doubt, but not a lot.
You set how far the bushings are compressed, by how far the nut is tightened.

The rear bar on my TR3A had the same issue, and the original rubber bushings were still in usable condition when I removed the bar from the wreck some 25 years after installing it.

On the front, I upgraded to nylon bushings (from a Pontiac Firebird as I recall), which were also in good condition. I even reused them when moving the bar to the 'new' TR3.
