Also, I have no idea were the other black wires connect.

Any ideas?

Black goes to a local ground. Will it fit on the tab you are holding the wire to?

Is there a ground tab on the body anywhere around the wiper motor? Maybe under the mounting backet.

On my 6 the ground has a ring not a plug. Whose harness is it?

Aloha Larry,

I have the same motor in my TR3A. The green wire (fused power supply) goes to terminal #2, the top motor terminal. In my car a black with green tracer goes to terminal #1. There are probably terminal numbers on the motor end casting. The black ground wire connects to the motor housing bolt as you have it. The other black wire is an additional ground wire to the body. So as I see it, going top to bottom, Black, Green and Black with green (currently unattached wires.

Safety Fast,
Dave

I think this is a later TR4 motor with 3 wires.

If there is no grounding tab near by, just cut that double female spade connector off and crimp-and-solder a nice ring tab and ground to the body in a convenient spot with a sheet metal screw.

Here i pic of mine with the ring grounded to the motor hold bolt.
