TR4/4A TR4 UPDATE

Hi All, Been a while since my last post. My rebuilt engine is starting to seat the rings, oil burning is slowing down. Have to say this is the best performing TR4 engine I've ever driven. Pat on the back /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Main modifications are, a 270 cam from BPNW, shaved head, and a lightened flywheel. Continue to play with ignition and carbs, but I've always done that, part of the disease I guess, always trying to improve. Main thing I notice is that it wants to run, shifting up it pulls nicely froom 2200 t0 4500. great response. Thanks again for all the help and support this forum has provided during this rebuild. Now maybe I can recover from the cost and eventually paint which I really need. Mike

Congrats, Mike! Few feelings as good as the one you get from a successful rebuild. Sounds like you got it right.
