TR4/4A TR4 Trunk Seal

I have bought the Moss trunk seal 680-380 and I am not sure which way around it fits. When holding it end-on in cutaway view it looks a bit like the letter h. Is the long side on the surrounding channel side or the trunk cutout side?

Also, the bottom of the h is very wide for the thickness of the channel lip that it fits over. What adhesive do I have to use over my nice new paintwork to get it to stay in place?

As always, thanks.

Ian, for what its worth, I used normal 3M trim contact cement (the yellow stuff) for the seal and its held on just fine. I noticed that Geo sent a note recently on the team.net site saying that didn't work for him and he used gorilla glue (I think, Geo can chime in and correct).

I bought my seal from TRF, and put the long side out - but I remember someone telling me that was wrong so basically you are on your own here!

If you don't like the Moss seal, I thought the TRF one was very good - its a soft seal and fits the flange nicely, not extra wide or anything.

Randy
