TR4/4A TR4 Trunk Prop Rod

I seem to have misplaced a critical part needed for the boot prop rod on my early TR4. I have found the rod, restraint cable and the clip for the upper pivot attaching these to the boot lid. However, I can't find the pivot (PN 650224, plate AT, number 20 in the Spare Parts Catalog). To make matters worst, I can't remember what it looks like. Does anyone have a close-up photo or drawing of the attachment hardware for the prop? Even a good verbal description would help as I look through bins and bins of parts.

Gary,

Sorry, but I only have TR4A's. I didn't even know that the early TR4's had a different trunk prop rod design until your post and I went and checked out the SPC.

Unfortunately, I see that TRF lists it as NLS. Looking at the SPC, I would expect it to be some type of pin with a slot for a circlip - something like the pins for the brake and clutch master cylinder rods except with a slot instead of a hole perhaps? You should be able to gauge length and width from the bracket and rod thickness and the hole size.

Good luck finding it!

Scott
