TR6 TR4 - TR6 "Quick Rack" - o-pinions?

Getting to the point of needing to rebuild / or replace my rack on my later TR4. I know I have play on my inner ball joints that I have to deal with at minimum. Assessing all my options, I see the "quick rack" as one option. I have seen a few negative comments in posts about parking difficulty and extreme sensitivity on the highway.. But i have not seen any positive comments. Has anyone heard any positive comments or are there any pro quick rack TR owners? I don't want to go in a direction that I'll wind up unhappy with.. Thanks...

My TR4a has 2.5 turns lock to lock, which I think is the quick ratio. This was on the car when I bought it 10 years ago and I like it.
The steering is not heavy at parking lot speeds, even with wider tyres, and I do not find it too sensitive to crosswids or road camber.
On the other hand, I have not tried a standard rack, so I cannot compare the two.
Simon.

Probaby depends on you intended use. For the street (only), the standard rack may be best, especially if you use a narrow tire like the 185R15. But for a fast street/autocross car, I imagine the the 2-/12 turn lock to lock will surely benefit in quick handling. That's my bet anyway as I have one on my prepared chassis with 205/60 tires and wheel spacers to widen the track 1/4" inch at the front and 5/16" at the rear. But with no body on my car, I haven't actually driven it yet so ymmv

Merry Holiday!
