TR4/4A TR4 soft tops

Hello, just curious as to what vendors folks on this forum have bought convertible tops from. I know the usual, TRF, VB, and Moss, but what about these folks I see on Ebay? I would like a top ready to go, with all the hardware already installed.

.......Thanks, Alex

I just bought from one of the newer ebay vendors out there (sorry don't recall the name offhand) - California based. It was a closeout item, and actually turned out to be an NOS Amco top with all clips attached. Not sure if the vendor sells their new versions identical to that but if so I would highly recommend it. Worth a question to them at least.

Years ago I recall the TR4 tops came 'plug n play' but the one I got from BPNW was the 'kit'.

Too bad, TR3s have to be packaged like that (LTD locations varied) but as far as I know the TR4 mounts were quite consistent.

Randy -- did the NOS Amcofit well?

Yes, not perfect, but I think that was due to slight age shrinkage - but still very good. Makes me wish they still made them - had the front stiffeners and even the side ones that I don't think anyone puts in anymore.

Randy,
When you say side stiffeners, are you referring to the elastic that snaps to the top frame just behind the door?
Tim

No - those straps are also there, but in addition to that they sewed in metal stiffeners that are vertical and are immediately behind the door glass.
