TR4/4A TR4 kick panels?

Hi all,
i have just ripped out the remains of my old carpet in preparation for fitting under felt and new carpet.
A PO has used glue unfortunately but that aside, the old carpet was kind of hung from some button type fittings directly to the car in the kick panel area of the front foot wells. There was no kick panel as such as I had assumed there would be.
Is that normal or can I get kick panels somewhere?
I guess I could make a couple.
Any thoughts? Thanks,

The Moss carpet kit I installed last year had kick panels. I screwed them on though, didn't see any snaps to use.

Fixes with six screws, carpet folds over a fibre-board. Can use plywood.

Me too, using the carpet set from Moss.

The Moss set did not have that rubber protector on the d/s kick panel (reduces wear as your left foot works the dipper switch or just rests there) so I transferred the old one from my prior (TRF) carpet set. Other than that, I thought the Moss set was the superior choice.

And if you can get the ones from a TR6, they are the same. That is what I used. It's that same fiberboard stuff though, so you could make some out of masonite or some such material.
