Hi All, In my Bentley manual, on the front and rear sealing blocks; it says to soak the felt in jointing compound. My quaestion is what do you use for jointing compound? Thanks, Mike

As another TR4 owner I'm going to sound dumb but what are Sealing blocks? The only thing I can remember on mine with felt seals are the front wheel bearings.

TR4MAN, The rear sealing block is part of the rear main bearing cap, and the front sealing block screws to the front main bearing cap. This felt packing is renewed when doing an engine rebuild. Mike

Thanks Geo, Ended up with a bottle of Indian Head Gasket Shellac. Think it should work ok. Mike
