TR4/4A TR4 inner ball joints

I need to replace the inner ball joints on my 64 TR4. TRF and Moss no longer have them available. Can anyone advise where to buy rebuilt units? Thanks!

Can you elaborate a little bit... There is a ball joint that connects the upper control arms, is that what you a referring to? No balls joints on the inner part of the control arms upper or lower.
A picture would help.

Do you mean the ball joint where the tie rod connects to the steering rack? If so, they seem to be available. I just did a search on eBay for TR4 tie rods and several popped up. BP Northwest has them too.

I suggest that you wean yourself off Moss. Finding decent parts for these cars is an important skill to develop. Just running off to Moss when you need something is great in the short run but not in the long run.

Thanks Rod. I've seen different terms for the part(s).

Moss refers to the "inner ball joint assembly", number 64 in the steering assembly diagram > Steering TR4-4A <

Rimmer refers to the "Track rod and inner ball joint (reconditioned)", number 7 in the steering assembly diagram > Triumph TR4-250 Steering Rack | Rimmer Bros <

Some of the individual parts are available -- such as the "ball pin" number 70 in the Moss diagram, and other parts.

But neither Moss or Rimmer sell the "Track rod and inner ball joint" assembly or the entire "inner ball joint assembly" anymore.

Thanks Sarastro. Yes I had looked on ebay but the only part I found is the "ball pin" (incorrectly called the "inner tie rod" in the ebay ad) which Rimmer also has -- number 9 in this diagram > Triumph TR4-250 Steering Rack | Rimmer Bros <

The TRF catalog also has the "inner tie rod end" for the TR4 part 129961R but its no longer available > TR4, TR4A Glove Box Companion: Steering Rack Rebuild Components :(page 75) <

BP Northwest lists a Tie Rod Inner Kit TR4A, TR250, TR6 but not for the TR4

If loose remove disassemble, clean and inspect the ball and socket. I found mine loose but the wear was minimal, I was able to adjust with available shims, grease and reinstall the inner tie rod sockets.
