TR4/4A TR4 hood differences

Country flag
Offline
Someone posted on another thread about wanting a TR4 hood. Hood differences were mentioned. I know about the long and short hood bulges but one person asked about flat ends or conical ends. They lost me there! Will someone please explain what/ where that is and maybe post picture of the two. Guess I've never picked up on that. I've got at least eight spare hoods and six TR4s.

i think TR4A hoods had the receivers for the conical shaped hood buffers like on a TR6. TR4 hoods didn't have the receivers and used flat buffers. Also, pretty sure in a 4A hood the hood brace underneath is angled but straight front to back on a 4.

Randy,
I remember that now! Thought they were talking about shape of hood ends at the bulkhead. I knew that about the buffers. Guess too much turkey this week? Thx
