TR4/4A TR4 Head Light Wiring question

On each side the grounds from the turn signal & parking lamp ground to a double connector mounted to the sheet metal just below the hinge:

Looks like the same double connector as used on TR3As. I think these are NLA from Moss, not sure about others. I made a pretty credible copy of one for my TR3A using the metal from an old turn signal bulb base. It had the nickel-plated brass that was easy to work, conducted well and looked right.

The ground from the headlamp just disappears into the plastic sleeve of its wiring harness:

Okay, I should have probably shown the other end but what you would see is that black wire emerging from the plastic sleeve of the harness. That lone black wire you have coming from your harness is probably the headlamp ground... a single bullet connector may be in order to connect it to the balck wire from the headlamp.
 
Larry- Might be over kill but here is how I settled my ground issues.
