I just got an e-mail from a girl friend of the Mrs
who lives in Coloma, WI that she recently acquired a
1962 TR4. A very handy neighbor of hers believes he
can get the car put back together and running.

I will forward the British Car Forum to her. She knows
how much help I have received and she has even driven
my TR6. She owned a TR4 some years ago.

Looking forward to seeing another Triumph saved from
The Crusher.

Does she have a digital camera Dale? I love seeing pictures of "barn finds".

I think this is a great opportunity for you and Wendy to visit the
Great White North, and show off some of that Triumph knowledge
you've acquired, Dale!

First Paul: Yes she has a digital but is computer and camera challenged.
She's trying to figure out how to get her photos into her computer and then figure out how to e-mail them. I'll post them as soon as I get then.

Kevin- she and my wife have been friends for 40 years. I have a health
condition that I cannot fly. But my wife has been to WI lots of times.
The Mrs. friend has driven MY TR6 she is probably coming here for a
visit in Jan.

I'm having her join BCF. She has a very handy younger (55) friend who can
fix anything. He will be doing the actual work.

This will be fun for me, as well.

Not too far from Coloma is Chris Mills' British Sports Car Center. He's a little difficult to nail down, but is very talented, has LOTS of Triumph inventory, and is "entertaining".

Peter (I have parts, too)

Neat barn find, Dale - I need pictures. I've driven past Coloma many times over the years, between Madison and my destination in St Germain 'up north'.

And now I have two places to hit my next time in, WorldWide and Chris Mills' place. Madison is a great airport to fly to from Texas, just missed stopping in at Worldwide a month ago because of a flight delay.

Anyone Cheeseheads know if Don's Sportscars is still around? It was a great junkyard in Central Wisconsin (can't remember the town), plenty of rusty hulks to play around in.

Randy, Don's Sportscars was located in Hortonville, WI, about 15-20 minutes northwest of Appleton. The salvage yard is still there but no longer deals with old British iron. Chris Mills bought out Don's British salvage many years ago.

Thanks JFS -

I'm showing my age, and its a little sad that my fun little wrecking yard isn't there anymore but I'm glad the parts found another home. And more incentive to visit Chris Mills' place.
