TR4/4A TR4 Engine - Fan Hub Extension

I am taking the timing cover off, so I need to remove the fan hub extension. I have removed the 4-blade fan and undone the 6 bolts from the extension to the main pulley/crank. The pulley is moving loosely, but the extension is solid. Before I apply too much "assistance" with a hammer and soft drift, have I missed anything?

As always, thanks in advance.

TRDejaVu, There is a big nut holding the fan extention on, can't be sure but I think it's an 11/16 inch. Wayne

That big bolt can sometimes be difficult to get off, but a good trick is to get the appropriate socket and use a big breaker bar. Put the bar so that it hits against the frame, pull your distributor cap so you don't start, then hit the starter briefly and the bolt will loosen. Pretty sure the breaker bar goes against the passenger side frame, but you need to double check rotation to make sure you set it up right.

Put it on the drivers side, don't ask how I know. I hope you put the engine on TDC before you started, so when you put it all back you will be able to line up your timing hole on the belt drive, if not make sure you do before putting those 6 bolts back in. Wayne
