Does anyone know when triumph changed the center insert (where the small instruments reside) from black crinkle finish to the natural aluminum?

Mine is CT 5586 L.

Other way round; change was from ally to black. Mine is 8904 and had the black insert.
 
Moss has the switch at CT4398.
