Guys,
I'm in the process of mounting my crankcase vent pipe. I pulled the plug (PITA) and have the pipe in the hole. I assumed it attached to one of the oil pan bolts. Perhaps I was wrong. Can anyone help me here?

Here is a picture of what I have:

Here is a picture of the piece I thought I needed to fab to mount it up. Picture was found someone on the internet years ago.

I would like to get this mounted up looking close to original. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good you found it! That part is actually confusing because there were at least two vent pipe variations - one needed the twisty tab you show in the picture, one just needed a straight tab. Just fyi after you fab up a tab, the factory used a thick spacer washer under the tab to mount it to the sump. Just a washer or two and you'll be in good shape.

Good to know there is in fact a "twisty" tab...As it turns out all of my years of keeping metal bits & pieces paid off. I scrounged through the box and found the perfect tab. I drilled out a 5/16" square nut for the spacer and came up with this:

The tab is a bit thicker than original, but it does the job. Many Thanks!
