I'm putting my Tr4 back together. I thought I'd share. add my .02 (posted on this and Triumph forum too)

What I bought to put back in

- Carpet Kit - loop grey from The Roadster factory
- Synthetic Jute Cut padding kit from The Roadster Factory
- Carpet install kit from The Roadster Factory (comes with Snaps and Screws)
- Interior Black Vinyl kit from The Roadster Factory

- Also Crash pads from Moss for early TR4 ....

Notes on Kit and install

The carpet and interior kit seems very well made from TRF much nicer than what I had from Victoria British.

The carpet install instructions from TRF are not great this is why I'm writing (The Moss Tr6 carpet install instructions are good)

What I used to install so Far.......Tools

- Glue (contact adhesive) Spray and can with brush.

This stuff works, but is strange to work with, put it on both surfaces let it dry (5 mins) , then slap/press them together. You get one chance maybe 2 if it's at all wet. Sometimes it sticks really good and sometimes it pulls off (slick vinyl)
you can buy at home depot, walmart, Lowes, napa etc. Either one works they are pretty much the same thing. Some like Dap some like 3M. I used both. and Dap in a can with a brush on some things

- Scissors
I nice Sharp set that can cut vinyl and padding. Got mine at Wal-mart in the Craft section

- Razor blades
a big box of them!, Straight or utility some thing sharp to cut the vinyl and foam.

- Normal tools
screwdrivers, Pliers , pop rivet gun , cleaner

My Tr4 originally (When I bought it) had all carpet glued to the metal and floors. It didn't have the snaps installed nor screws used.
I added snaps and will be putting screws back into the footboards as original as possible.

I put snaps in the following locations....

Upper shaft tunnel on both sides

On the poly Trans Tunnel (see the holes in the jute padding)

be careful pop rivets don't work well in a plastic tunnel, had to use screws on some of the snaps.

And on the floors

I did not put the snaps on the firewall because I have the clips already there...

Next the rear wheel well covers....

Thanks! I'm also looking to do this in the 3-4 months once the weather cools down. I have the Moss carpet and leather seat kits, TRF dash and panel sets. Look forward to getting it all in. I remember someone posting a series of steps to putting everything back in an empty tub and was going to put up a post as I can't find it. Something along the lines of: Starting with wire harness, heater, tunnel cover, carpet in front, dash, dash support, etc
