TR4/4A TR4 build

Thanks for the pic, it looks wonderful, pass one on my way to work every day, black with red interior, have two pic's but I'm unsure if I'm allowed to post them, ?, do you use your TR6 as a daily driver, and if so how many miles do you average a month, if you don't mind me asking.

one small point here, if you require a more comfortable ride (rough roads), the IRS 4A or 250 is what you want. More complicated, more frame issues, more rear suspension issues. For re-sale, most people want a 4 or 4a to have the "right" engine in it. IMHO.

I think you are. If they are on the web already you can just click on the 'image' icon above the text area where you enter a reply. If you are in 'quick quote' you will need to go to full screen. You may need to enable 'scripted windows' to enter the link.

My TR4 is my daily driver, that is -- it is my only car other than my TR3A. But then I am retired, live in the sunny southwest and am not driving in LA traffic.

That I would start with a complete TR4, and build from there using the Ratco frame with the modifications needed to accommodate later changes
Are you saying you're going to convert a TR4 to IRS? Or just put a TR4 body onto a 4A frame (which I think will lose the TR4 handbrake mounting location)? Either way, it sounds like a very ambitious project.

Good luck, you're gonna need it

yes that was what I was thinking, but after looking over the original manaul 61-65,(recived it Saturday), I see it would not be worth it, so 4A IRS it is.
