Hello

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a good set of alfin style brake drums for my TR4? I've read that Brembo make them and also that you can fit Datsun drums but I haven't been able to find a supplier. Thanks.

Myles

Welcome to the forum Myles. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

You can purchase the Datsun finned Aluminum drums from Black Dragon Automotive which is really the same company as Victoria British. Black Dragon handles their 'Z' car parts while VB does the Brit cars. So don't expect any technical help.

The Datsun drums need some slight machining in order to fit the Triumph. Nothing major but it will require a machine shop.

Hi Myles-

I think The Roadster Factory carries Brembo's. Not sure if there is a U.S. supplier for Bastuck, but I've heard those are pretty good too.

hi,
alan myers wrote in stating the exact part number for brembo's that do not require machining. I think the thread is about a year old. they are not the rediculous price that is quoted in the uk either.

In the new Moss UK catalog, they now sell radial finned drums for the TR. The fins circle around the drum (duh- radially). Maybe just another gimmick to sell parts but they look different - that is if you could see them with the wheels on. I have the Brembos on my 4A and paid about $50 to have them cut to fit.
