I am ordering my steel gas tank this morning for TR3 post 6k style body.My body has blank rubber plug on left by tank corner, and rubber plug with hole by right side of fuel tank.
I need to specify rt or left fuel outlet.
I am thinking left side would be best,as this is same side as fuel pump.Not sure what is correct.
Any thoughts appreciated,

Hi there the early gas tank had the hole in the center for fuel and the later had the fuel hole on the diver side. The holes in the trunk on the passenger side are for the vent and the drain. It sounds to me like you want the fuel hole on the driver side because you are a post 6K.

Can anyone provide a picture of the location of the hole for the vent tube? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance,
 
Steve, thanks.I just checked the tank that came with car parts and it has center hole,and doesnt fit,so the left hole tank should be the one,and its on order.
