I'm installing the trunk and spare tire weatherstripping and...which profile do i use? As i see it, there are 4 possible profiles to use on the trunk and 2 profiles for the spare cover. This is on a TR3A TS25---. Thanks, Bob

Bob,

I had my TR-3B repainted last year and they used the wrong rubber on the spare tire cover. They said they ordered it from Moss. I took it off this weekend and ordered a new one from the Roadster Factory. I suggest you contact them as they told me they have sold many and have not had any complaints.

Hope this helps.

Paul

thanks paul, I guess i need a picture of how the seal fits. On the later cars the seal fits over a single spine of metal. The early cars had a channel that the seal fits in, and, can be positioned several ways...does anyone have a photo of their car's seals?

Bob, I can take pics of the rubber seals on mine but it is the earlier type (56 TR3). I had to trim mine a bit on the back side to get them to fit (they were too thick as others have reported before). Let me know if the pics might be useful to you. Cheers, Mike

Sorry for the delayed reply. Hope these help a bit. Cheers, Mike

Mike what color is your car? I have a late 56 TR3 that's going to be painted the original Winchester Blue color. Any help with paint matching would be a great help. The first picture looks to be close to what I'm looking for.

Bob I'm sorry to barge in on your thread. I'll save this thread so I know how the seal goes in the future.

Hey Keith, the more the merrier...btw, mike, that is a beautiful color. I'll post some photos of mine shortly.

Mike thanks for the information. I was at the paint shop Friday and they are very close to getting a color match from my sample. I think they were disappointed I would not agree with the color match but that's to bad.

Thanks Bob. I am very pleased with the colour.

Keith. You are most welcome. Lots of work leading up to the paint stage so it is good to be really happy with the final colour.

Cheers, Mike
