Are they the same? The pedals on my 4A pedal box are seized up and I found a nicely restored 3A pedal box on my parts shelf I must have bought years ago. Would the 3 box fit into the 4. I can't get out to the cars till Spring so I was just curious to know if anyone on the forum could tell me. Thx Karl

You might be able to swap the whole assembly if you used the TR3A MCs & reservoir. But I'm pretty sure the mounting centers for the MCs are different (the TR3A MCs are closer together) which makes the pedals different as well.

quick answer, no, they do not interchange. If you can pull the 4a box out they are not that difficult to take apart. Are you sure it's the pedals or the master cylinders?

The master cylinders have been taken out and rebuilt. I'll take out the pedal assembly, take it apart and rebuild it if it's not that difficult to take apart?

They come out of the car pretty easy; just undo all the bolts and nuts and the assembly pretty much falls out. Getting the shaft out of the assembly can be a bit difficult if it is badly rusted, but even that isn't too hard. If worst comes to worst, you can grind away the bolt heads, then drive the shaft through the pedals.
