I seem to recall some discussion about these little jewels but can't seem to find it. I bought a solenoid from eBay years ago. It is a replica and some how while in storage all but one jam nut took a hike. I can tell you that they are not SAE fine or coarse. Can any one tell me what they are?

Thanks, Tinkerman

Hi Dick and yes they are something different. I am not sure exactly what perhaps Britishwittworth or perhaps metric. I just remember having the same problem and how I almost striped the stud.

I just checked the tpi with my antique General thread checker and 22tpi is perfect so I guess the originals were BSF. Replicas are probably metric grrrrr.
