TR2/3/3A TR3A Sidescreens

Happy New Year to all!

I am embarking on the refurbishment of my TR3A sidescreens and would appreciate detail photographs of a completed example and also any good advice and tips from someone who has been brave enough to have completed this job already!

Step No. 1:

What sidescreens do you have to refurbish? Are you talking the clear plastic, the rubber seals, the frame ...?

(There are originals, and later replacements from the 1970s and '80s.)

Try a BCF search on "sidescreens", and give us a picture of the ones you're working on.

Then we'll move on to Step No. 2!

The screens in the link are mine and they are aftermarke AMCO's not the originals.
maybe someone herehas doen the stock screens but they would be quite a bit more work with a higher level of skill Involved.

Here's a couple of pics of completed curtains. These were rebuilt on behalf of The Roadster Factory (a US vendor) in the mid-80s. They claimed they are 'as original'.

I only did 2 over-all photos, let me know if there is a specific area that more detail would help.

That's a bit of split fule line secured to the rear bracket -- a little elbow protection for the driver!
