TR2/3/3A TR3A Seat spring set needed, Help

My driver side seat spring set is history and I need another spring set. There were two types of spring sets in use during the TR 2-3 B history. The early one, pre TS22014, had a larger front edge and a smaller back edge. The later seat (Post TS22014) was more oval in shape. If I try to use the early seat it would just not be accomodated by the upholstry kit I have. I will of course apay for it, plus the shipping. Let me know if you have one that you can spare.

Dick, if you are unable to locate a spring guess you could use foam. Too-tall on ebay might be one option for that since he seems to have a good reputation. Cheers, Mike

I saw two seat bottoms at a local upholsterer in Indiana, PA last month. The Roadster Factory's and another one whose supplier I don't know. TRF's was very much like original while the other had much heavier springs. The upholsterer couldn't work with the latter set, trying to make them both comfortable and original looking.
TRF's bottoms are made in the Indiana area by a local Triumph enthusiast.

If he is a local upholsterer in Indiana, PA and is working on a side screen seat set then it must be Larry Learn! Larry is simply the best of the best for interiors of the side screen cars. Dick, please take my advise and call Larry at 724-465-8661 and ask his opinion on a proper spring set. No, he has no web site nor email address.

Hi Dick,

I have a TR3A seat spring. It came from the passenger side of the car. I would recommend bead blasting to remove some rust though I believe it is in good shape. If you are still interested, let me know and I can send you a picture. I ended up purchasing a new one because the person I knew who could bead blast was about 1 hour away round trip so I took the path of least resistance by ordering from Moss. I would sell the seat for $50 plus shipping. I live south of San Francisco, CA.
