TR2/3/3A TR3A Scuttle Rim Question

A short question on the scuttle rim. From what I understand, there is supposed to be a wooden rim on the scuttle of my TR3A. On the TR3A I'm restoring, the entire rim is steel so I'm not sure whether I'm missing the wooden part or if the steel rim is correct. There's not a single piece of wood in the scuttle rim but, then again, the car was a mess when I got it and partially disassembled.

Any guidance and pictures on this is appreciated.

Hello Ron
When the factory changed the body stamping and it has raised hinge mountings about late 59 there is no longer wood on the scuttle rim. They may have changed even before than as some things were not exact by commission number.

My 3A is 24 August 59 TS/57849 and it has no wood in the scuttle so you are probably good to go.

Likewise mine TS44067, no wood, and I deliberately looked for it. Did have wood tack strips along the B-posts, though

Thanks for everyone's response! I couldn't figure out how any wood would fit into the metal dash rim so I'm glad nothing is missing.
