I'm thinking of repairing the front fenders on my TR3A and see that the big 3 sell a repair panel for the lower rear front fender. Has anyone bought one of these repair panels? Can anyone give me the dimensions, height & length, for the repair panel? If anyone has bought a repair panel and could post a photo of the panel that would be great. I'd like to get a better idea of the size of the panel before I buy them, I need to repair both fenders.

Those panels replace the bottom 12 inches of the fender. They come with a welding flange so the actual panel is 1/2 inch or so higher than that. They go from the door seam to the wheel cutout and include the folded lip at the door, the mounting flange at that end and the wire edge at the front part.

Hi Tom, thanks for your help. That sounds like just what I need. It'll be easier to get those for the fenders than fabing my own repair panels. I have a Miller spotwelder so this type of repair with these panels will be a easy job.

Good tool for this job in my opinion. Put a couple of coats of weld-thru primer on everything first. The weld goes across a very flat panel area which makes heat distortion a big problem with butt welds. Your Miller will not distort the panels at all. Hope it's a 240v model, the 18ga metal will max out the 120v one (although I think you can make it work). Tom
