TR2/3/3A TR3A Rear Bumper

Can anyone help me on this?

I am trying to fit the rear bumpers. The bumper bracket do not touch the distance tubes by 1 inch. Are the distance tubes too short? Is the car too long? Do I just need to bend the bracket so it reaches the distance tubes?

Any advise.

Thanks

That's what it looks like to me. Put the bolt through there and tighten it up. See what happens...

I dunno ... seems like the vertical part of the bracket is already at about the right angle, and closing that gap is going to angle it forward rather drastically.

My car has about 1.75" of tube protruding past the bodywork, measured under the tube.

I can't remember what happens at the chassis end, but you might be able to pack the tube out with washers to get the over riders to sit correctly.

Viv.
